Environmental and economic optimization and prioritization tool-kit for residential building renovation strategies with life cycle approach

The most recent regulations, as well the scientific studies, remark importance of evaluation entire life cycle on building renovations, relative to environmental impact and economic feasibility, making Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) prioritizing analysis. objective study is develop a simplified methodology for assessment residential renovations with approach. For this, script-based tool-kit developed: first tool optimizes thickness envelope insulation based strategies; second prioritization strategies by assessing their performance feasibility. In order follow objective, development two tools presented: both parallel scheme where input parameters are required an excel file calculation script provides results automatically exporting file. quantification improvement net energy ratio (NER), feasibility financial indicator internal rate return (IRR). applied in case multifamily building. show, one hand, that usability can be determinant decision-making stakeholders; other carrying out dynamic assessment, taking into account variation caused uncertain differ time. Moreover, assist cost-effective decarbonisation strategies.
